Who We Are
Extraordinary Life Sanctuary is our HEART PROJECT. Its purpose is to invest in and inspire others by sharing God's amazing truth, recognizing and celebrating His abundant love through Jesus Christ, and experiencing true restoration.
Extraordinary Life Sanctuary is a unique place where you can experience renewal and enrichment while walking through nature and reading inspirational messages from God's Word.
We are self-funded and also rely on free-will donations. We provide services hosting small groups and Life Enrichment Days to enhance your faith journey.
Our garden has flourished over the years, and we aim to continue to provide a place that inspires, empowers, and restores all who walk through, helping them grow in their understanding of the precious gift of life.
We firmly believe that our vision and mission will bring about positive change in our communities and transform them in an EXTRAORDINARY way, both locally and beyond!

History
The Lord has blessed us beyond measure with almost 4 acres of beautiful land, and we want it to be a continual source of encouragement and blessing by creating a special place via a prayer garden. We began this journey in 2007, and it continues to GROW beautifully every year!
A little history about us: Shortly after we moved into our home in the winter of 2005, I remember walking around the land for the first time with my then 10-year-old son. We prayed together asking God to prosper this land and the surrounding land so that countless others would come and experience what we were experiencing; the breathtaking evidence of God in action through nature.
We believe the more time we take to enjoy the gift of nature and all that God has artistically created within it, we'll become enabled to experience His profound love for each of us. When His love is experienced, we become restored and motivated to live life to its fullest.
Since our prayer in 2005 here is a condensed TIMELINE of God's abundance (Ephesians 3:20).
In 2007, the idea of Extraordinary Life Ministry 'Because in Christ life is Extraordinary!' was birthed. Joel & Maria with their two children traveled around the country teaching and sharing biblical principles on how to build on faith and live it out fully.
In 2009 the Prayer Garden initiative took root by facilitating our first youth retreat called 'By your fruits they will know'
In 2009, Maria discovered her gift in writing and photography as they traveled, capturing nature's intricacies and combining them with inspirational Bible verses. To this day, she uses these gifts to inspire and encourage many. Since her discovery, thousands of photos with Scripture have been given and gifted; including to missionaries, as a source of hope and empowerment. To date, Maria has written over 13 faith-enrichment books.
In 2012, Maria's Gift launched online; at www.mariasgift.net, and in 2015 a storefront was established in Oak Creek, WI, to share GOOD NEWS, whiling supporting Extraordinary Life initiatives and continue this life-giving ministry.
In 2020, our 20/20 God-vision continued to take root as a great need arose; to share the love and hope of Jesus and eradicate hopelessness and fear one person at a time through our new three-year mission at Perfect Timing Gift Shop in West Bend, WI.
2023 - The much needed bridge in our garden was donated and built! "When generosity and gratitude connect, it leads to amazing places."
As the years go by, the desire to see others come to know the love of God, profoundly increases our zeal, perseverance, and steadfastness to see it come to fruition, because we know this is God's calling for us. Our vision may look impossible, but we know with the Lord's energy, provision, and your help, He makes it possible! (Vision list)
We believe, we're still in the first phases of all that He will do. God calls us to be patient, "Be still and know that I am God." Psalm 46:10
